Priyanka S Murthy

Hailing from Bangalore, my curiosity and love for nature and its denizens began on my father's farm and our weekend family getaways to national parks.

As I grew older I found myself connecting to this space very often which led me to quit city life and move to the forests of Nilgiris where I landed a job in operations, running a wildlife lodge in Masinagudi.

A call from a naturalist friend asking if I could help them set up a lodge in Little Rann of Kutch and guide guests came knocking. While I enjoyed running a lodge, I was drawn to being out on the field and hence I took up this role.

Then I enrolled with Taj Safaris for their professional naturalist training programme. Since then, I have had the privilege of working across Central India's diverse landscapes including Bandhavgarh, Pench, Panna & Kanha.

My love for the wilderness & people, and experience in operations came together where now I work as a professionally trained Senior naturalist and a Camp host in Kanha tiger reserve, Madhya Pradesh.

Curating experiences for guests by guiding them through different landscapes bringing nature, culture and wildlife together through safaris, walks, interpretive storytelling and hosting has been greatly rewarding.

I believe that every experience is an opportunity to create meaningful connections with nature.
