About the wildlife
Will I definitely see a tiger?
No, and anybody who says otherwise is selling you something they cannot deliver. Over a well-planned multi-day trip in the right season, multiple sightings are the normal outcome — one guest group recorded thirty tigers in six days. A single day in a single park is a lottery.
What else might I see?
Leopard, sloth bear, dhole, gaur, jackal, and the full range of deer. Central India also has excellent birds, which is worth a lens of its own.
How close do you get?
As close as the animal chooses and the forest department permits, from the vehicle, without ever manoeuvring to block or pressure an animal. That is a hard line and it occasionally costs a photograph.

Getting there and being there
Do I need a visa?
Most nationalities do. India's e-visa covers tourism for most US and UK passport holders and is applied for online. Guests consistently mention we help with this — one described Lala handling 'planning, flight routes and visa logistics'.
How fit do I need to be?
Not very. The safaris are vehicle-based. What is demanding is the schedule — pre-dawn starts, long days, and real heat in summer — rather than any physical activity.
Can you handle dietary requirements?
Yes. Indian lodge kitchens handle vegetarian and vegan food better than almost anywhere. Tell us in advance about allergies.
Is it suitable for children?
It can be — one guest describes a family trip across two parks. Long silent hours in a vehicle suit some children and not others, and a bespoke trip is usually the better shape for a family.
Do I need vaccinations?
Check with a travel clinic well ahead of departure. We are not qualified to give medical advice and will not pretend otherwise.

How do I book?
Write to us with rough dates, who is travelling and what you want to see. We reply with what is possible, and nothing is held until you have seen a full itinerary.
What if I have to cancel?
See the cancellation policy. Safari permits and lodge deposits are committed well ahead and are the part that cannot always be recovered.
Do you offer single occupancy?
Yes. Lodges price a room per night rather than per person, so a single-occupancy supplement applies; we quote it with your itinerary once the lodge and dates are set.
Is travel insurance required?
Yes, for every guest. It must cover medical costs and cancellation — the two things that actually cut a trip short — and we ask to see it before you travel.
