Bespoke

Built from nothing around your dates, your party and — if this is why you are coming — one particular animal.

How it works

Start with the animal, not the itinerary

Fixed departures are built for the general case: tigers, central India, the months when the odds are best. A bespoke trip starts from the other end. You want dholes hunting, or a leopard on rock, or your family to see one tiger without six days of dawn starts — and the route is assembled backwards from that.

It is also the only way to travel outside the standard window, to bring a party too large for a fixed departure, or to combine parks that no packaged itinerary puts together.

The process

From first email to confirmed

  1. Tell us three things

Roughly when you can travel, who is coming, and what you most want to photograph. That is enough to say whether it is possible.

  2. We come back with a route

Parks, nights in each, which lodges, and where the compromises are — because there always are some, and you should see them before you pay.

  3. You change it

Most itineraries go through two or three passes. This is the point of a bespoke trip.

  4. Permits and beds get held

Safari permits in the core zones are limited and released on a fixed schedule. Once the route is agreed, this is the part that decides whether it actually happens.
