Same trip, led by a resident naturalist
Bandhavgarh, Kanha, full-day permits, a visit to an NGO in Kanha's buffer zone and the Taj Mahal on the way home — led by one of our resident naturalists, who are in these forests every week of the season.
Day by day
The itinerary
Arrive in New Delhi
One night at the Radisson Blu Plaza Airport Hotel, to shake off the flight and make a start on the jet lag before the parks.
Delhi to Bandhavgarh
A late morning. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, followed by a flight to Jabalpur and a road transfer to King's Lodge, where you will be staying for four nights, with three full-day safaris.
Bandhavgarh to Kanha
A road transfer to Kanha Earth Lodge for five nights, with three more full-day safaris — open grass meadows and barasingha, a completely different landscape from Bandhavgarh.
The NGO visit
A half day with an organisation working on the ecological and economic resilience of the forest-dwelling communities in Kanha's buffer zone. A guest favourite.
Back to Delhi, and Agra
Fly out of Jabalpur and land in Delhi for two nights. After a night of rest, a guided day trip to the Taj Mahal in Agra, and back to the hotel in Delhi. The room is yours for that night too, in case you have a late-night or early-morning flight home.
